Today I got a call from the rehab center that I really, really, really wanted to work for. This whole time that I was in Cali I started to wonder…when am I going to get hired? A little doubt crept in for a brief moment but with how easily this move came together, I knew that everything would happen in due time. 

Looking back on how everything transpired, God was in control the whole time. I have been able to get settled in. Met a couple of great friends, was able to get my bearings and have a feel for what things would be like. Started a routine with the gym, meetings, bible study, etc. However I was beginning to get bored and needed to take things to the next level. Overall the timing couldn’t have been better. 

There are still some things that need to be worked out. Mainly I have classes on Saturday’s and would need to have the leeway to come in late that day. Aside from that everything is just perfect. I know the boss, manager and at least 50% of the people I will be working with. The facility is top notch and has been featured on the show Intervention. Yes, I am really blessed to be in a position where I can learn from the best. 

I don’t know if it is a coincidence but yesterdays entry ended with “because of my faithfulness in Him…He was provided all me needs and more” This job opportunity is totally because of my faith that God would provide. 

Last year there would have been no way I would have taken this job. The pay is not what I am used to. I am starting at the bottom and the job title is nothing to be super proud of. However I will be able to make a difference in the lives of those battling a killer disease. I will have the opportunity to share on a daily basis who my source of strength is. Most importantly, I will be able to offer hope to others that they can overcome their addictions.
